Hi all new member here from sunny Bedfordshire, just thought I would share my new watercolour with you.

I love drawing and painting anything that moves, cars/bikes/planes/trains and rockets in flight.

Gandy here from sunny Bedford in the UK.

Been a long time aviation and car enthusiast and do paint a fair bit in water colour as a hobby, never sold any but just do it for pleasure until recently when i did sell something lol a Doodlebug being tipped over by a Hawker
Typhoon.

I just need to resize some piccies to post up, did that but will not upload?

F/A-18C Hornet VFC-12 Fighting Omars, AF07 / 164647. TSW - 2009

Hey Guys,

VFC-12 Fighting Omars Hornets are available in the usual 5 sizes and layouts! It was requested by the unit, but they had a custom one. These ones are available for the public from today! I'm about to make more paintschemes if I can find or get proper reference materials. Unfortunatelly currently they have only this scheme, but before they had at least four including the two seaters with the black nose.

Using the APM plot I thought I would have a bash at a Scimitar F1 painting .
This is a very rough Photoshop throw together and I would ask you not to worry about perspectives on   tanks and roundels because they are just  quickly eyeballed   in at the moment.
May   stick some snow clad   mountains in the background to   reflect the Cairngorms which would have featured heavily in their   training .
The aircraft is pulling up in a LABS manouevre - tossing a sunshine bomb a few miles on the   way up  then diving   for cover .
I will probably add some points to the APM plot ref tanks and   roundels .
As always I'm pleasantly surprised   how   good a likeness pops out of the mess of lines in an APM plot .
Can't guarantee that this  aircraft hasn't been "squished " or stretched whilst spinnning around in Photoshop but it   gives a fair idea.

Getting back to

Finally took the plunge and opened up the boxes    for the 1/48 Airfix Lightning F1/ 3 and F2A /6 that have sat in the   cupboard for over a decade. I've never been a dedicated modellor - set out with   good intentions   but usually settle for   " something near the mark".

Glad I took the   time to mask the  first cockpit because I managed to get black paint   well over the masking!
In the wings I also have   a 1/48th Academy Hunter FGA9 and Airfix Buccaneer S2 as well as a 1/32 Revell Tornado GR1 and a Revell Special limited edition 1/32 Beaufighter.
Think I'll   work   my way   up to the Beau. - shame to spoil a good model.
Aim   with the others is   just to stick some airframes together  as photo   refs   for artwork   but it seems a shame not to    treat them   with a bit of respect

Greetings gents! First of all. Many apologies for my absence. Life is good...just very busy. My computer time has been limited to a few minutes and I didn't want to just stop in for a "token hello." I'm still drawing and have turned out a few since my last visit here. Glad to be in the presence of the CAT2 brotherhood again.
